No Sunday paper
Did not receive todays paper. I do not know what happened. I have received my faithfully every day and it was not there today

I signed up to receive the paper 7 days a week. On 10/28/24
I decided to cancel because I don't read it and I'm moving.
I
called 9 times (713-362-****) and no matter which option
you select the recording drops the calls. I then went to their
website, submitted the cancelation request, and no one
responded. I then sent an email from my personal email and
no one responded. Then on 10/30/2024 I get changed
$30.00.
I called again 6 times; again recording answers but
the call drops. Then on the 7th try @ 3:44 pm Anthony
answers the phone. I told him the situation (as explained
above) and he canceled my subscription, but would not issue
a refund - even though I've sent emails, called, and they are
non responsive. I then requested to speak to a supervisor and
spoke with Sam (supervisor id# 1493).
He told me that it
doesn't matter that I sent emails because he doesn't know
who checks them, to bad about their phones, and even
though I am moving the new tenants will continue to receive
the paper until December 7th, and there will be no refund.
My problem is that I was calling them for days, I sent
multiple emails, and as an organization they are completely
non responsive and now they are charging me for the paper
to be delivered for another 5 weeks.
Additionally, when I
signed up at Spec's the agent said it was a monthly charge of
$30.00 - I was billed on October 2nd, and October 30th,
which is twice monthly. Anthony told me the information
provided by their field agent was wrong and it's every 4

Today they withdrew another months payment.
I believe this is now fraud.
I cancelled by telephone before moving and they have continued to withdraw money from my account.

I was being billed twice a month (double). When I called the young man gave me a song & dance.
I said forget it, cancel my subscription. He offered me a free month which I refused.
They have continued to take money from my bank account as of today.
I dont know if they continue to throw the paper because I moved from that house in October of this year.

Company fixed the issue and I have been provided with discount on future orders. Requested changes were made and a change in payment plan was given. Discount on futurer months digital service.
H Chronical resolved my problem within 24 hours and I was completely satisfied with the solution.Now will you stop sending me messages. I have received at least six e-mails from you AFTER i told you the issue was resolved.
I have been trying to contact the Chronicle five times today. Each time, I stay on the line for 15 minutes or more and don't receive a response.
One time, after 20 minutes, I did contact someone. He took my name and address and told me he would be right back. Immediately, the phone went to a busy signal and then disconnected. I have been receiving the digital version and the Sunday home delivery for years.
For the past month, I have not received my digital email articles, but I am being billed. The most recent bill was for $21.00 on September 5th. I would like a credit for the service not received and I would like to cancel my Sunday delivery. I would like to continue receiving the digital version of the paper.
Please respond. I am more than frustrated!

Haven't received Sunday issues and have paid for this paper . I really enjoyed my Sunday paper but apparently carrier doesn't deliver to my address or something because haven't had a paper for 3 weeks.

Friendly, but not helpful.
On 9/10/24, I was charged $3.49 on my Visa bill. I have called customer service twice, with no resolution.
Please reverse this charge immediately, or a Houston Chronicle complaint will be on the local news.

I called to have my paper put on hold during my vacation. When I got home, every paper had been delivered.
There were three weeks' worth of papers. This was the third or fourth time this has happened. This is unacceptable! I want those 21 papers removed from my bill.
Please tell me how to prevent this from happening again. Apparently, your recorded request system doesn't work!

Didn’t get my news paper yesterday on October the 6th.
Im annoyed slightly about the paper that hasnt come in on Sunday October the 6th ad now Im even irritated about the fact that I cant reach any customer service representative on the phone. I cant seem to be able to send my email to the Houston chronicle on the link that the Houston chronicle has sent or receive the code sent by the Houston chronicle to my email to find out about the Sunday news paper.
I dont understand why I cant speak to a customer service representative on the phone, because I can receive the code to log into the Houston chronicle website sent by the Houston Chronicle.
So I would appreciate if some one would contact me by text or by the phone. Thank you for taking the time to read this.
Paper delivery didn’t resume today
I returned from the area devastated by Hurricane Helene and really need to reestablish my normal routine. I was promised resumption of my paper delivery today, but I didnt receive a paper.
Please deliver a paper. Thank you.

This is now the fourth time I am writing on this matter. The more I have to repeat myself, the more time I've wasted on this matter. I happened upon a guy in Walmart with some raffle tickets, and after he explained, I was then drawn into a conversation about the decline of newspapers, including the Houston Chronicle, which he was there to represent. He presented a hard-to-pass-up subscription offer.
This was presented to me as an initial one-month payment that would allow me to enter the raffle and receive a $15.00 Walmart gift card to be spent that day. My only obligation was to allow the month's subscription fee to be debited from my bank account in full, which would total $30.00. My boyfriend was not inclined to agree and voiced his objections many times, but with my encouragement, he acquiesced, and I asked the representative at least five times to confirm that it was only for a month. If we liked the service and wanted to continue, the Houston Chronicle would auto-renew the payment for every subsequent month – or we could cancel before the billing date.
So, I got home and began reviewing the email receipt I was told would be sent. Sure enough, I saw the $30.00 agreement, however, my bank account reflects two $30.00 payments to the Houston Chronicle. I did not agree to a $60.00 payment today, nor was such a payment ever presented as being a possibility.
I will not do business with your newspaper, which allows such deceptive practices to happen with its representatives in the community who are trying to drum up business. This subscription needs to stop before it even starts. I am willing to return your $15.00 in exchange for the $60.00 that you did not have permission to take. I am not in the business of loaning money.
You had no right.
Now, I want this to end rapidly with a prompt response and a quick resolution. I don't want even a single piece of your newspaper showing up on my doorstep. This experience has left a bad taste in my mouth, and I wouldn't let you pay me to read your paper. I have not logged in as a potential customer and I do not intend to.
Someone needs to fix this as soon as possible.

User's recommendation: No recommendation to customers. I recommend anyone representing a service or product be honest down to the fine print. tell someone they will pay for two months subscription. Let them decide if it the write time to do so. I probably would not have signed on knowing two months payment in advance was needed. but let me have my right.

I had the contract with Kitchen & Bath Decor & more in {{Redacted}}, TX 77007, to start remodel on my bathroom and ot turned into nightmere for me. I saved all the documents and texted conversation and tried to work with them till 12/05/2023.
They agree to refund our money if jobe is not done by 11/09/2023, yet they are not paying back my $11,000. I have contacted attorney and they told me this company is scam artistist and already have 20 lawsuit pending agaist them( have list of those) I will start walking front of their showroom with sign stating the matters.

Verified ReviewerTHE WORST EXPERICAN I HAVE EVER HAD. YOU HAVE NO PHONE NUMBER WHERE I CAN REACH A PERSON, AND THE PAPER HAS COST ME $400.00.
Give me a phone number where someone who lives and breathes answers the call. If this can't happen, I am forced to stop payment on my money and cancel the paper.
Anything else I have to say would not be pleasant. I spent 90 minutes yesterday trying to get this mess straight.
